Avette doesn’t type when I hold Right Option

• Make sure Avette is enabled under System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources, and that it’s the active input source (the Avette icon shows in your menu bar).
• Check that Avette has microphone permission (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone).

“Avette is damaged and can’t be opened”

That’s Gatekeeper rejecting a copy that lost its signature — usually after an AirDrop or a re-zip. Re-download the installer from the link on the home page; the official build is signed and notarized and opens cleanly.

It’s using the wrong microphone

Open Settings → Audio and drag your preferred device to the top of the Input Devices list — Avette always uses the highest-priority available device. Hide inputs you never want with the eye toggle. See Microphone & audio.

The model is downloading, or won’t load

Avette downloads its speech model on first run (about 2 GB). If it stalls, check your connection and relaunch — the download resumes. You can switch

My license won’t activate

• Each license covers up to 15 devices. If you’ve used every slot, deactivate one at Your license to free it.
• Copy the key from Your license to avoid typos.
